Special Programme in Science (SPS)

SPS Induction Programme 2017

SPS has once again conducted it yearly induction programme for the year 1s. This year a three-day programme was organized to introduce the SPS curriculum to them and forge bonds between their batch mates. Throughout the 3 days, the year 1s played games related to the SPS module, explored the vicinity of school and travel to key locations essential for their studies in NUS.

This year's storyline is the journey of a science researcher and clinching the Nobel price. The ice was broken on Friday where the freshmen broke into smaller group and familiarize themselves with their mini group. After which, they had a first-hand experience with some highlights in each SPS module. On the next day, the four groups were tasked to travel around the school, completing quest as a group. This completion allowed them to gather research points to purchase goods for subsequent games and skit props. The induction programme ended with SPS's tradition of an Escape Room and showcasing the freshmen's talent during the finale skit.

The fun and laughter brought by the freshmen were indeed a good indicator of a successful programme.
